In A Nutshell
Early Edition is a TV show from a few years back about a man who mysteriously receives his newspaper a day before it is actually published. He then must decide how to use the advanced information to prevent bad things from happening. The Choice is one episode where he is faced with the dilemma of saving a six-year old girl from dying in a hit an run accident or stopping a plane crash that will kill over 200 people. This lesson uses the the episode to show how desperately this man works to save complete strangers from the danger that is about to befall them. At the end of viewing the episode, teens are presented with the analogy that the Bible is very much like this newspaper. It foretells what is going to happen to everyone when they die. Teens discuss what they can do to help change the outcome for their loved ones, friends and complete strangers.
